By special request, EAE will present it's flagship performance, Dream of China, at The Baroness Resort on Monday, June 22nd at 4:30pm. We are thrilled to perform here, and are eagerly awaiting our chance to showcase DoC!

Overview of the Performance
In Dream of China, we follow a girl, lost in a fantasy world and trying to get home. Her adventure is filled with magically elegant fairies, the mysterious inventions of a Tinkerer, a deadly vindictive Witch and a beautiful Lotus Queen. Complete with special effects, costume and stage changes, and nods to Chinese culture, this is by far one of our most favorite productions to date.



Daydream: A Chinese Fantasy Ballet
A Part of the SL12B Celebrations
Saturday, June 27th at 6pm

For the second year in a row, EAE will showcase a ballet as part of the SL Birthday Celebrations. This year, we are debuting our brand new ballet, Daydream, at the auditorium!

Overview of the Performance
We invite you to join us for Daydream: C Chinese Fantasy Ballet, which shares the happenings of one day in a dreamlike world, and features Chinese costume, music and ballet harmoniously blended with a fantasy aesthetic and fascinating special effects. The ballet has an outdoor setting, the clearing of a forest, with a small lake to the side and a stately tree to the other. As the show progresses, we are introduced and bid farewell to the different people whom call this dreamy world home, and bare witness to the many changes that occur in one day. This show is beautiful, ambitious and we cannot wait to share it with you.

By special request, EAE will present it's flagship performance, Dream of China, at the Avilion Order on Saturday, March 28th at 4pm and on Sunday, March 29th at 2pm. I included screenshots of our past DoC performance, and we hope you join us at Avilion!

Christmas in Japan

Last week, Shinmachi's Tsukinoya and East Asian Events proudly showcased their joint performance "Christmas in Japan" at Keisei (on Thursday) and at Sengoku (on Sunday). Christmas in Japan was a fun dance show / concert performance which featured the seasonal music of Japanese vocaloids and famous pop artists. During the show, we showcased Japanese versions of songs like Jingle Bell along with a few typical J-Pop songs like Hatsune Mi-Christmas.

I've included a few pictures of the shows below for you to enjoy. This show was the last event for both Shinmachi and EAE for the year. Both groups look forward to entertaining you in 2015!

Performance Recap: Dream of Japan

Recap:
Last night, we held our first showing of our newest production, the fantasy ballet called Dream of Japan. This magical performance is the second part of our most successful (and requested) show, Dream of China. You can see below for a few pictures of the dance at Sengoku Japan. Don't worry if you missed the ballet - we will be holding it again on November 2nd at 4pm slt!

Dream of Japan is the direct sequel of Dream of China, and follows a similar format of the fantasy ballet, featuring amazing stages and mesmerizing music. In Dream of Japan, the girl learns that the Tinkerer who protected her throughout her travels in Part I has been captured, and is the prisoner of an evil Warlord. We invite you to join us as the girl overcomes her initial trepidations and braves a new fantasy world to search for the one who saved and loves her.

In advance of our next performance, Dream of Japan, we are holding an encore performance of our most popular show, the fantasy ballet called Dream of China. In Dream of China, we followed a girl, lost in a fantasy world and trying to get home. Her adventure was filled with magically elegant fairies, the mysterious inventions of a Tinkerer, a deadly vindictive Witch and a Lotus Queen who, at the protests of the love stricken Tinkerer, led the lost girl back home. 

Dream of Japan is the direct sequel of Dream of China, and follows a similar format of fantasy ballet, amazing stages and mesmerizing music. In Dream of Japan, the girl learns that the Tinkerer who protected her throughout her travels in Part I has been captured, and is the prisoner of an evil Warlord. We invite you to join us as the girl overcomes her initial trepidations and braves a new fantasy world to search for the one who saved and loves her.

Performance Recap: J-Pop, the Concert

Last month, we held two showings of a light and fun show called J-Pop the Concert. See below for a brief recap of the show!

Overview:

EAE’s J-Pop: The Concert

East Asian Event’s J-Pop: The Concert is a fun song and dance performance featuring the music of some of the most popular pop artists in Japan. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Japanese. All of the songs feature a bit of English, and we’ll be providing a full translation of each song in local chat throughout the show.

So come join us for an hour of dance, special effects, costume changes and changing set designs as we party to music by Beast, Girls Generation, Yuya Matsushita, MAY’S, BigBang and maybe even a vocaloid or two.

Now everyone is dancing together, with the exception of
Hamayu who was on DJ duty.

Kara took a break, relaxing on the crates, and Len took
over as the DJ, giving Hamayu a chance to dance
with Rai and Kaminari.

We slowed things down with Error during the middle
of the performance.

while the three girls sang a beautiful love song.

The concert ended with a fun and light song, and, of course, confetti!
